I’m sharing this on behalf of two people who mean a lot to me, Matt and Ashley, and their beautiful daughter, Cadence.

Cadence came into the world as a fighter. Since the day she was born, she has shown more strength than most of us have ever had to. She is currently in the NICU and has been battling complications from a congenital heart defect (VSD), which is now causing her heart to work much harder than it should.

Recently, doctors have shared that Cadence is beginning to show signs of heart failure, and she will likely need open heart surgery as early as July. While her medical team is optimistic and has a clear plan, the road ahead will include extended hospital stays, travel for specialized care, and ongoing medical expenses.

Matthew and Ashley have already been through so much to bring Cadence into this world, and they continue to show up for her every day with love and strength. Now they are preparing for the next phase of her journey, one that will require not just emotional strength, but financial support as well.
