Help Support Baby Atlas and Family

On March 7th, beautiful baby Atlas was born at 32 weeks gestation to parents Avalon Dennis and Shane Arsenault, just as they were about to move into their newly purchased first home in Charlottetown, PEI. They were overjoyed to meet Atlas, but his life immediately took a heartbreaking turn. Just after birth he needed extended life-saving resuscitation. He was airlifted to the IWK on March 9th, where a dedicated team is now working around the clock to stabilize him. There remains much uncertainty about what his life might look like due to complications of his traumatic birth.

But their challenges don’t end there. During pregnancy, Avalon suffered from untreated preeclampsia, leaving her with dangerously high blood pressure. Despite ongoing treatment in Halifax, her condition has been difficult to manage, and she has developed blood clots in her lungs. Shane has been forced to split his time between caring for his wife and newborn son.

There is no telling how long baby Atlas could be at the IWK, and the last thing this family needs to be worrying about right now is money. Your generous donations will go directly to the family to help ease their burden and allow them to give Atlas the chance he deserves.
