Help Support Babe's Emergency Surgery and Care

Hi fellow Washita Point Neighbors! As many of you are aware, my father-in-law's dog, BABE, escaped from the backyard on Memorial Day morning (5/27). Soon after, we were contacted by fellow neighbors that BABE had been shot at twice by another neighbor in our community. My 80 year-old father-in-law rushed her to Durant where she underwent an emergency surgery to remove the bullet.

When we talked to the vet, he informed us that Babe was in shock, had lost a lot of fluids and was unresponsive. As you can imagine, this was emotionally exhausting for my in-laws as they waited to get updates on Babe. As of now, Babe is in stable condition and will be staying overnight at the clinic for further observations and signs of trauma.
