With profound sadness we share the unthinkable news of Axel’s passing after he went missing last week in Geary County, KS and ask for support for his family. Axel was a beautiful four year old boy who had autism and was non verbal.

Once word of his disappearance spread the entire state of Kansas came together to form an incredible search party including several counties, first responder agencies, volunteers and countless searchers on horseback, the search continued throughout the night and into the following day until he was found the following afternoon.

Axel, the cherished son of Logan Toneys and Cheyenne Koppa, while non-verbal communicated in ways that touched everyone around him. His smile, his presence, and his unique spirit had a way of lighting up every room he entered.

He brought immeasurable joy to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life, though far too short, was filled with love, laughter, and moments that will be treasured forever.

As his family navigates this unimaginable loss, we are coming together to help ease the financial burden that accompanies such a tragedy.
