Help Support Autumn and Zelda's NICU Journey!

Autumn and Zelda made their grand entrance on September 11 early in the morning hours. We went into labor two months earlier than expected and the girls decided they couldn’t wait and we gave birth in our truck to our two beautiful twins. This was very unexpected as they were two months early, and my labor was less than two hours long. It was an absolutely beautiful birth and we are so lucky to have both of our girls in good health. Our wonderful midwife, Robin, walked us through how to deliver our babies in our truck. If it weren’t for Robin, I don’t know what would’ve happened to Zelda. Both babies were born breach, but Zelda was stuck and she talk to my husband through how to save her life. And for that, I am forever grateful she came into my life. 

Since that night, I have had an emergency surgery and a double blood transfusion. My husband and I have been pretty much on the run for the last 2 1/2 weeks as our twins are staying in MU medical center. We don’t have babysitters and we have three children at home under the age of six the Ronald McDonald house isn’t an option for us as they don’t have any programs that fit our needs, and we don’t have any help with our children due to our families not being available. We have run into quite a few financial devastations in the last few weeks and it doesn’t look like it’s letting up anytime soon. We still have about 6 to 8 weeks to go  Due to missing out on bringing breastmilk and it, causing our girls to regress in their journey. Right now the biggest help we could get are donations.

Your donations go towards the twins first. Giving us the ability to see them more often and pay what we need to be able to see them. We have also had to take time off of work to be able to do any of this and October’s bills are right around the corner. We’re asking for help and that is something beyond rare from us. We are very much so “I’ll figure it out” people. This is bigger than us this time. Any and all donations are more than appreciated. We are grateful for every bit of help we receive.
