Hi, my name is Hannah Long and I am Aubrey’s sister. About a week ago, my sister’s husband Lance unexpectedly and suddenly passed away. To everyone’s knowledge who was close to Lance, he was not sick… so to say we were all shocked is a huge understatement. He passed away from a major cardiac arrest, the day before his 52nd birthday.

Lance was an amazing person who took care of my sister like it was what he was born to do. He loved her unconditionally, and I am so sad it took them so long to find each other only to be separated due to this tragedy. They were nerdy soulmates who were absolutely perfect for each other. Aubrey and Lance just celebrated their first year wedding anniversary in September 2021, and dated a total of 6 years as of January 1, 2022. I am grateful they at least got to celebrate those milestones together.

Aubrey didn’t ask for me to start this gofundme, in fact… she would probably be embarrassed and upset if she knew I did. However, I worry about my sister and just want to make sure she will be taken care of in the days, months, and years to come. A lot of people have asked me how they can help, and honestly I think this is the best way. Any donation you make will help aid in making sure she will be able to buy animal food (for her 7+ pets), pay for oil to heat her house, pay to make sure her fridge stays full, pay to keep her electricity on, etc.
