From the hearts of Christy Gendron and the Ken & Charmaine Wadsworth families . I am a friend of the Family, in times of crisis and loss sometimes we struggle to find the words or what we can do to help our friends, family and loved ones during devastating heartbreak. This is one small gesture I can do to hopefully help ease the financial strains the well known and loved Wadsworth & Gendron Families of Vernon BC are challenged with to bring their beautiful Ashley home from England to say their final goodbyes. ( I will not reflect on the horrific circumstances there is enough in the media, with respects to her family)
Ashley was a precious part of the Wadsworth & Gendron family. Her spontaneous and witty personality, along with her unforgettable laugh, brought so much joy to those around her. She was the fun cousin/friend, the one who would start the game of hide and seek, bake a cake just because! She was protective and loyal. Ashley was the first to stand up for her family and friends ( or put them in their place if needed lol..) Ashley’s sense of adventure brought her many places including Quebec, California, Mexico, Ontario, and England. She always had a strong desire to travel the world. She posted pictures and shared her experiences. Ashley was also very studious, graduating on the Honour Roll at WL Seaton! She spoke 3 languages and had dreams of becoming a lawyer. Every Mother and Father wish the best for their children as they spread their wings and enter the world.They want them to live their best life! Ashley was doing just that, and that’s how we want to remember her ♥️ There is a tremendous cost associated with getting Ashley back home to her family! The Wadsworth and Gendron Family would like to thank you all so much for your continued healing prayers and generous support. We are truly grateful for all of you! Please know that your kind words, candlelit vigils, shared photos, continue to touch our hearts and help us all get through this time of disbelief and anguishing grief. Ashley was so loved by everyone that knew her and her tragic loss of life has undeniably touched the hearts of those who didn’t. With all the uncertainty and unknowns to get our Ashley home from abroad this GoFundMe was created to help ease the financial strains. As it turns out, we have help we never could’ve imagined. Our family would like to thank, from the bottom of our hearts, Westjet Airlines for stepping up to help to make this happen. They truly have gone above and beyond to help get our Ashely home to her family. Within the next week Ashley Ann Wadsworth will be flown home to be with her family. A moment that we all have been waiting for. Once Ashley is laid to rest as per her beliefs and mom’s wishes, anything remaining in this Gofundme will be used to set up a Scholarship in her name. We would also like to make a donation to a charity in her name on behalf of others who have fallen victim of domestic violence.
Today will never come again.
