Help Support Angela Zwarycz and Family
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Angela Zwarycz. I am the mother of four amazing children, from whom I get my strength. I am not one to ask for help, but I know at this moment I need to. I need to move forward with optimism and faith. I am trying to find housing while continuing to raise my children and work.
On Sept 28th, Hurricane Ian brought catastrophic flooding to my community of Geneva, Florida. I stayed as long as possible but left late on September 30th when the water started entering the home. I prayed to God to watch over me (alligators) as I kayaked to my car, holding the flashlight in my mouth. No one could have prepared us for the flooding that came after the storm. The water rose very high inside the house, destroying everything.
It has been 36 days since the water has receded, and I could walk into my home. I am in transition now, looking for housing as my home is unlivable, and I am waiting for FEMA's help. I don't know if my home can be rebuilt. The mold has reached the ceiling, and every wall needs to be torn down. I pray our home can be rebuilt. However, it has been difficult finding help.
You may always see me smiling; I enjoy nothing more than using God's gift of teaching. He also blessed me with patience when he gave me this gift. However, I have been fighting a silent battle for the past seven years. Knowing that God wants me to continue using my gifts, I know I have many more little lives to touch. This is where my heart is and where I give back, but dealing with personal losses and finding a place to live has been challenging. I want to be back in the classroom.
Money donated will help us with home repair, mold removal, temporary housing, gas, clothing, toiletries, counseling and beds. Anything will help at this point. I thank and appreciate you more than you will ever know.
