Help support Tim during this journey

After several conversations with my dad and requests from people wanting to help financially, I feel comfortable starting this fundraiser for my dad. So many have extended their thoughts and prayers to us all and we are so humbled and blessed already.
Tim was diagnosed on 04-20-21 with stage 4 non-small cell cancer after finding a tumor on his right lung. In the past few weeks he has been seeing multiple doctors, and this week he started his treatment regime. He will undergo radiation 5 times each week, chemotherapy once each week, and many doctor appointments for 7 weeks. During this time he has been and will continue to work full time.
As you can imagine, this has been an emotional road to start on for us all, especially my dad. He struggled with the idea of anyone contributing and he will tell you he can't get over how many people have given him well wishes and have said, "if there's anything we can do for you, let us know!" This coming from a guy who has helped so many! He is always giving back and taught us to give without recognition. I truly feel if there is a 'karma train', he is due for it to stop by his house! Someone sent me a message about starting a fundraiser, saying to "please convince him! You dad is awesome!" and I agree!!
We have no idea what to expect from this, just as we don't know where this road will take us. Once the medical bills start coming in that it won't take long to need some help. We did talk and if a larger amount was raised than needed, we would pay it forward to the cancer programs that have started to support him already.
If you'd like to reach out to my dad via mail, feel free to send a text or Facebook message to my sister (Rayli Heier) or myself. He has received cards of encouragement and lots of phone calls! If you would like to send him something to help with his travel or time in Fargo, I would recommend coffee gift cards or gift cards to quick food places. I've had people ask about meals, and that may be something he and my mom would enjoy. He receives gas cards from a cancer program but that could be an option as well.
Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and from the bottom of all of our hearts, we are so grateful to you all! If you would like to donate anonymously and feel comfortable doing so, please send me a message so we can extend our thanks and gratitude! Keep those thoughts and prayers and positive vibes coming as we know some days will be harder than others. If you don't believe in those, 'pay it forward' and do something nice for someone today!
