Amber is an amazing mom of two and a wonderful friend. She was experiencing back and sciatic nerve pain for an extended period when they discovered she had two herniated discs. She had surgeries in Dec. 2018 and Jan. 2019 in an attempt to alleviate her pain and improve quality of life. The surgeries did not offer Amber relief, in fact her pain is now worse. The doctors have stated there are multiple issues including piriformis syndrome, sacroiliac issues, and severe sciatica. Amber has had significant inflammation around her surgery site which has limited her mobility and limits her to laying flat or standing to help prevent major spasms that feel like charlie horses. These spasms take hours to subside and when they finally do, she feels like she’s sprained her hamstring. She has been through 12 steroid injections, has had bladder and bowel obstruction and has been on several medications. She has had multiple lengthy stays in hospital and ambulance rides to and from Halifax. She is in pain everyday. Amber has no insurance and her financial struggles are growing. Amber is enduring copious amount of physical and mental stress. She is one of the kindest, compassionate and humble people I know. Any support you can offer is greatly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
