Hello, our names are Michaela and Cristoval. We are the parents of Amaya Jimenez. We are making this GoFundMe due to not being able to go to work. Our 5-year-old daughter, Amaya Jimenez, has recently been admitted into the hospital. On November 20th, she went to school perfectly fine. Then, when I went to pick her up, I was notified by a teacher that she was crying and saying her stomach had been hurting. The next day, I took her to see the pediatrician and was told that it could just be the common cold and we were sent home. Saturday, we decided to take her to the ER. She was sweating so badly with a fever and broke out with a rash all over her body. When they took her in, they saw her blood pressure kept fluctuating. They did what they could and proceeded to transfer her to downtown Houston. When we got here, they moved her into the PICU area and hooked her up with IVs to give her body some fluids to keep her hydrated. She started hallucinating a little bit, then her blood pressure dropped extremely low. That's when they decided to sedate her and put her on a breathing tube. She's also on multiple antibiotics. They are testing her for everything and have multiple specialists coming in to see her. We still have no idea what's causing her to be sick. She isn't heavily sedated, just enough to be comfortable. She can hear and she'll move just a little bit. I pray to God every night asking Him to lay His hands on her and heal her. I ask the same for everyone else reading this. Thank you!
