Help support Amanda in her fight against cancer

I’m Kassandra and I’m fundraising for my sister-in-law Amanda as she fights an aggressive form of breast cancer.

In the years since marrying my brother, I've had the honor to watch Amanda grow and flourish. She has remained a consistent, loyal, and best friend to me, and many others, for the decade I've been privileged to know her. Previously a pharmacy technician, she is currently a loving and attentive stay-at-home mom to my (nearly) 2yr old niece, Ella. Raising Ella has become the joy and happiness in her life. Their bond is nourishing and inspiring.

In October 2022 Amanda was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer that had already progressed to stage IV. While the doctors are hopeful that her treatments will be successful, there's still a long road ahead. She started chemo in November but has at least another year of treatments and prodecures.

My brother is in the military and frequently has to leave for work, school, training, and sometimes deployment. This leaves Amanda alone and on the other side of the country from her family, undergoing chemo by herself, and still being a full-time caretaker to Ella. Due to hospital policy, Amanda is unable to bring Ella to chemo appointments. Those appointments can sometimes last between 6-8 hours each and they're over an hour away from home. There are also times when she is so significantly affected by the treatments that she has difficulty performing daily tasks. She consistently pushes through to be there for her daughter at the cost of her own physical and mental well-being.

We are doing our best to be there for Amanda as often as possible, but can't manage every appointment. This money would go towards paying for childcare, gas to and from treatments, food for when cooking is too much, medical bills, help around the house, and other unforeseen expenses.

Our family has been through so much in the last year. Anything helps.
