Hello everyone!

As you may have heard, our good friend Amanda had an unfortunate accident during the recent blizzard. She slipped on some snow and fractured her ankle in two places.

Amanda is the talented pastry chef that makes your favorite desserts (and doughnuts!!!) at Wildair and Contra a reality! She has been an essential part of her team, and more importantly, she has always been a source of great energy, love, and camaraderie.

Working as a chef in NYC is already challenging, but the reality of our jobs is that if we cannot show up to work because we get hurt or sick, we cannot get paid. She has already exhausted paid sick leave because of Covid-19 over the holidays and is unfortunately unable to collect any unemployment at the moment.

This is where we can step in and help! Unfortunately, for her ankle to fully heal, she will be out of commission and unable to work for the next 4-6 weeks. The money raised will help with medical bills, rent, utilities, and living expenses.

Any donation will help provide security and peace of mind as she recovers! So let's help get Amanda back to doing what she loves!!!
