Support Alyssa Thompson Hughes on Her Healing Journey
As some of you know, In July, Alyssa shared on FB she had undergone a major 13-hour endometriosis surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
Sadly, at the beginning of August, Alyssa experienced a life-threatening complication. Her bowels ruptured, and she went into septic shock. She was transported by ambulance to the Mayo ICU where she underwent emergency surgery to stabilize her and remove the infection. After a long week in the ICU, Alyssa has been moved to a regular hospital room, where she continues to be monitored closely as she works toward recovery.
While Alyssa heals, her family has been by her side. Her spouse and daughter have taken time off work and traveled back and forth to Mayo to be with her. The financial burden of emergency medical care, travel, and lost income is overwhelming, and we want Alyssa and her family to focus only on her healing, not the bills.
We would be so grateful for your support, whether that is through a financial contribution, providing meals once Alyssa is able to return home, or keeping her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Alyssa has a long journey ahead, but each day she is making progress and showing her strength. Your generosity will make an incredible difference for her and her family during this difficult time.
Thank you for standing with Alyssa.
