On Father’s Day weekend 06/18/22 Allison presented to the Benefis ER in Great Falls, MT with sudden paralysis of her right side and loss of speech. Her family’s worst fears were soon confirmed that the 29-year-old mother and wife was suffering from an ischemic stroke caused by a blood clot in her brain. She was immediately air lifted to the stroke center at Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT for further treatment and evaluation. Unfortunately, IV medication and an emergent thrombectomy were both unsuccessful in removing the clot. Allison continued to suffer from brain swelling. She was again air lifted to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA on the night of 06/20/22 to undergo a life-saving decompressive craniectomy to ease the pressure of this swelling, and later a cranioplasty on 8/29/22. Allison will continue to work with outpatient therapies to regain the abilities she has lost.
Allison has an incredibly loving and generous heart. She loves to golf with her husband and friends. Her and her family could always be found enjoying the outdoors of Big Sky Country. Allison is not only an amazing person, but she is an amazing wife and mother to a wonderful 1-year-old girl. Allison’s career is necessary to support her family, and given the current circumstances, she will not be able to work while she undergoes treatment and rehabilitation. Her husband will be taking time off of work throughout her recovery to support her and their daughter during this emotionally and physically taxing time.
Funding for Allison will allow her family to pay for the medical expenses that will accumulate during this time of tragedy and allow her to continue to support her family and daughter. Our fundraising goal is very ambitious at this time. All funds raised will go toward these lost wages and much-needed medical treatment for Allison. Every little bit helps.
Through love, support and a positive attitude, Allison will get through this. Please keep Allison in your thoughts and prayers. #allisonstrongAF
