Hi, my name is Leanne Hernandez. My beloved friend, Amy Ahmed, passed away suddenly on July 3rd. She has left behind her son, Alex, her absolute heart and joy. Everyone knew that he was her everything and I want her at peace, knowing he will be okay.

He is a very young adult and was still being supported by Amy as he is still in school working towards a degree. I am raising money for Alex, to help cover the many expenses he is facing and will be facing until everything can be sorted out. The funds will help to cover the handling of her remains, traveling back home to Florida from Oregon, basic expenses for living until he can secure a job, and ultimately a celebration, to honor Amy's life.
