Help Support Alene

Donation protected
Alene Swinehart has been a volunteer to the community for decades and a wonderful friend to many of us. Her investment of time and energy in Open Harvest, the Irvingdale Neighborhood Association and many other groups and organizations is well-known throughout Lincoln. She is humble, compassionate and the kindest person many of us have ever met. She has opened her heart and home to many a good cause.

On February 22, her Lincoln house caught fire and has been declared a total loss. Seeing the damage to a historic home her father helped to lovingly restore and filled with so many family memories has been devastating.

Alene and her home welcomed everyone to a warm environment of love and laughter. Her little library on the corner and a bench for a moment's rest for anyone walking by are just two examples of her open heart in sharing her space with the community.

We hope those who shared memories with Alene and her beloved home will give back some of the love and generosity she gave to all of us. Please donate what you can to help Alene move forward.
