Hi, I'm Julie and I'm the luckiest grandma there is! I'm the grandma to Ainsley June, daughter to my daughter Macy and her husband Andrew. Ainsley, a joyful and vibrant little girl, has quickly captured the hearts of everyone around her, including her family and even nurses. However, in May 2024, she experienced two seizures that led to the discovery of a tumor and lesion in her midbrain, which has caused epilepsy. Due to its location, surgery is too risky, and Ainsley is being treated with medication, though the exact nature of the tumor remains unknown.
Since then, Ainsley has undergone several MRIs and tests, and although the tumor has continued to grow, doctors are unsure of its origin due to its location, which also makes a biopsy extremely risky. She’s been put on medication to help control the seizures, and her parents, Macy and Andrew, are working hard to manage her ongoing care. However, the situation has been financially and emotionally draining for the family, with mounting medical bills and challenges related to insurance. They are also seeking second opinions to better understand the tumor and explore treatment options.
It's been heartbreaking to watch the toll this has had on them as a young family. We are asking for support to help ease the financial burden on her family. This would allow them to focus more on Ainsley’s care and less on the stress of medical bills. Any help, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated as they continue to face this challenging journey.
