This fundraiser was created for my nephew, Adam (15) and my sisters family. Unexpectedly during the Sunday morning of Nov 21, my nephew, Adam, was found unconscious and in full blown seizures at my sisters home. He had been seizing for hours by the time he was found. Adam continued to seize for hours even after the paramedics arrived and even at the hospital. He remained unconscious and unresponsive throughout the entire day. Once he was stabilized he was transported to Petoskey Hospital where he was then airlifted to Devos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. He continued to seize internally throughout the night.

 

Adam is currently undergoing a series of tests to determine what is causing these seizures. It is going to require my brother in law to be with Adam and from what they are looking at, it appears like they will be looking at a some form of care situation. Adam currently has minimal use of his legs and arms, his speech is slurred and he’s experiencing memory loss.

 

We are waiting for the test results currently but Adam is a fighter and we are praying for his full restoration. He survived a rare leukemia as a baby and has been fighting kidney failure from the radiation he received ever since. He’s a great kid and he just wants his dad to be able to be with him while he’s fighting whatever this is.

 

We are asking for $5000 to help cover the cost of whatever care is going to be needed and supplies they will need to get to retrofit their home to bring Adam home, as well as to help cover the lost wages for the family for my brother in law needing to be off work. He’s the sole provider for their family of 9 and this has really thrown the entire family for a loop.
