Help Support Abel Gonzalez

Dear friends and family of Ms. Crystal and Abel,

As some of you know, Abel Gonzalez, Ms. Crystal's husband and partner was struck by a car while riding his back last Thursday. He was riding through the neighborhood to do a quick run to the store when a car hit him and caused severe damage, internally and externally. Abel was immediately admitted to the ICU. His brain was bleeding and he broke his nose and fingers.

Abel is still in the ICU and Crystal is by his side. The bleeding stopped progressing on Friday morning which is good news, however, we still do not know the severity of the damage to his brain and body. He will likely be out of work for a prolonged period of time and will need as much support and assistance as possible.

Crystal and Abel have been significant figures in the Green Sprout community for nearly a decade. Crystal has raised almost every baby who has come through the doors of Green Sprout and it is our time to help her family in a time of need. Abel loves Green Sprout and has been such a supporting figure over the years. Last summer he rented a snow cone truck for the kids at Green Sprout "just for fun" because he loves this community and the kids so much.

We love Crystal and Abel. If you can in any way help Abel through his recovery, it will be appreciated so very much. I will continue to send updates as they come. In the meantime, please keep Abel and Crystal in your thoughts and prayers.
