My name is Tor. I am reaching out to ask for your help for my incredible brother, Aaron. Earlier this week, Aaron traveled from Denver, Colorado, for his usual annual checkup with his cardiologist.
On 11/13/25, Aaron underwent emergency bypass surgery at Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. What was once a routine checkup, suddenly and unexpectedly, became a lifesaving procedure necessary due to complications from a congenital heart condition he has lived with since birth.
Aaron was born with transposition of the great arteries, a condition that required major corrective surgery when he was just 10 days old. Over time, the stents placed in his heart became embedded into the artery, causing dangerous obstruction and ultimately leading to the critical situation he faced this week. Since birth, this is his fourth open heart surgery.
Thanks to the swift actions of his medical team, Aaron made it through surgery — but his recovery will be long, challenging, and emotionally and financially overwhelming. My family is doing everything we can, but the mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and time away from work make this an incredibly difficult time.
We are asking for your support and prayers to help Aaron heal and regain his strength. Any amount, no matter how small, makes a meaningful difference. Even if you cannot donate, sharing this message helps more than you know.
Aaron is strong, resilient, and full of life. With your help, he can focus on healing without the heavy burden of financial stress.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers, generosity, and kindness. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to any of his family members. We will keep you updated on his progress. Mahalo nui loa a pau no kou kokua!
