Hi everyone,
I’m starting this fundraiser for my best friend, Lauren Haight, who was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Inflammatory Breast Cancer, one of the most aggressive and fast-moving types of breast cancer. She's only 33 years old and the loving mother of a beautiful 1-year-old boy, Matthew.
Just a few weeks ago, she found a lump in her breast and after many tests, the results confirmed our worst fear: cancer that has already reached the lymph nodes. Because of the aggressive nature of her diagnosis she begins chemotherapy this week for the next six-months, along with immunotherapy infusions every 2–3 weeks. The goal is to shrink the tumor enough for surgery, followed by radiation. If this first round of treatment isn't effective, she may need to be transferred to a more specialized cancer center in Texas or Boston.
As you can imagine, the emotional, physical, and financial toll is overwhelming. She is facing this without her parents, who both passed away from cancer, and without close family to lean on. She also isn’t currently working due to the demands of treatment and caring for her child.
What Your Support Will Help With:
• Childcare: She may be too sick from chemo to care for her toddler full-time. Funds will help provide trusted childcare during treatment days.
• Meals & Groceries: On low-energy days, cooking is tough. Healthy food and occasional meal delivery will be essential.
• Transportation & Medical Costs: Frequent appointments, medications, co-pays, and eventual travel if she needs to go out of state.
• Household Help: Funds will allow her to focus on healing, not housework, when she’s in the thick of treatment.
• Holistic Support: We’ve researched complementary therapies (like acupuncture, supplements, and nutrition) that may help ease the side effects of chemo and support her immune system.
She’s Fighting for Her Life — and for Her Son’s Future
Lauren has already lost so much — yet she shows up every day with courage and love for her son. She deserves to focus all her energy on healing and spending time with him, not worrying about how she’ll make it through the next month.
Whether you can give $5 or $500, every bit helps and every donation means the world. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign so we can get the word out.
Let’s show her she’s not alone in this fight.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
