Help Us Recover from Surgery Debt
Hi, my name is Eddie Clark. Earlier this year, I finally had the top surgery I’d been fundraising for—and I can’t begin to express how life-changing it’s been. I feel whole, brave, and ready to move forward with my life.
The surgery itself cost about $17,000 CAD (around $12,000 USD), and while we had some incredibly generous donors who helped us make it happen, my family had to put a large portion on credit cards to cover the rest. Now we’re struggling to get ahead of that debt.
We’re asking for $12,000 USD to help pay off the remaining medical costs. Every dollar will go directly toward reducing the credit card balance from the surgery.
I’m ready to start working and contributing myself, but the amount we owe is simply more than we can manage on our own right now.
For anyone who’s coming across my story for the first time: I’m a transgender male from a small town in Ohio. Top surgery was something I needed for my health and well-being. Thanks to the support of this community, I was able to get the procedure done in Canada, where it was safe and accessible for me as a minor.
This fundraiser isn’t about the surgery itself anymore—it’s about the financial recovery afterward. We’re deeply grateful for everyone who has helped us get this far, but we’re still underwater and need help to climb out of debt.
If you’re able to donate or share this page, it would make a huge difference for my family and me.
Thank you for reading, for supporting us, and for helping us finally move forward.
