My name is Christie, and I’m writing this to help my twin sister, Dee.

She is battling an extremely rare and aggressive form of triple-negative invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer with a secretory carcinoma breast cancer. Because of this, treatment options are limited and uncertain.

My twin is a single mom to two incredible boys who mean everything to her. Dee has always been the one giving back—supporting children in need, volunteering with and advocating for The Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, Hospice, Grace Smith House, Charlie’s Presence nonprofit, and advocating for kids with disabilities at the Newburgh School District. She has spent her life showing up for others.

Our mother passed away in 2014, and Denise was her caregiver in those final 6.5 years, showing the same strength, devotion, and love she gives to everyone around her.

Now, she needs us!

Her days are filled with scans, tests, and biopsies. She is facing multiple surgeries, radiation, and possible chemotherapy thereafter. The financial strain is overwhelming. There are medical bills (that far exceed health insurance coverage), daily living expenses, and the fear of the unknown while trying to care for her boys.
