Help Support a Memorial Service for Eugene Ramos

Hello Friends and Family,

We come to you with heavy hearts and an urgent plea for support. Unfortunately my brother Eugene who is 60 years old collapsed at home on Tuesday, March 12, and was brought to Metrohealth. While in the emergency room, Eugene suffered a sudden cardiac arrest due to septic shock-a severe blood infection. He is currently on a ventilator in the ICU, and his kidneys are failing.

Eugene is an amazing son, brother, uncle to his only nephew Jose, and the most kind-hearted soul who loves everyone he meets and his extended family dearly. We are a very close knit family.

Sadly, due to having a sudden cardiac arrest, Eugene suffered severe neurological damage. As a result, we are now faced to make a very painful decision to remove life support and end his suffering. He has remained in a vegetative state in a coma for nearly 2 weeks and by all accounts from our medical team the prognosis for Eugene is absolutely devastating.

We are reaching out to family, friends and to the community to help raise funds for Eugene's funeral expenses, and other unforeseen expenses for the family. The financial burden that comes with unexpected medical emergencies is very overwhelming. Eugene was unable to work due to kidney failure and heart failure and unfortunately he did not have a life insurance policy.
