This GoFundMe has been created to support a local family who has given so much to their community and now needs our help in return.

Earlier this year, a devoted high school coach and student support staff member had ankle surgery to relieve pain and swelling from a military service-related injury sustained while deployed overseas many years ago. What was expected to be a steady recovery took an unexpected turn this summer when doctors discovered he was suffering from severe blood clots in both legs. These clots have made mobility extremely difficult and require ongoing treatment and time to heal.

Because of the physical demands of his job and the need to prioritize his health, he is now taking a medical leave of absence from school. This loss of income has placed a financial strain on the family, all while they face additional medical expenses.

This family has always stepped up for others—whether through teaching, coaching, mentoring, or serving others—and now it’s our turn to step up for them. Funds raised will go directly toward helping cover medical costs and daily living expenses during his recovery.
