Hi. We are the Kromer family. Typing this out is Heather Kromer. My husband is Timothy Kromer. We have a 15 year old daughter in the IB program, 10 year old son in 5th grade, and 8 year old son in 3rd grade.

We are located in California.

we're reaching out for help. This has been the hardest moment in our family's life. We are a blended family and we only got married in June of this year. Our house just went up in a fire. At 10am 10/21/2025. This was not connected to other fires in California. Ours was an isolated event. We lost most of our pets except one dog, our German Shepherd, Max. He was inside during the fire and while it was being put out.

The lost pets are

•Chevy: 42 year old Macaw

•Harper: 2 year old pomchi. She was my right hand dog. With me always

• Mango, conure baby

•Burger, conure baby

•Pearly, my disabled cockatiel

•Hermies, cockatiel baby

•and a tiny parakeet baby I was hand feeding

•Stupid, beloved tuxedo cat

•Millie, sweet and cuddly calico cat

•Murphy, young feral orange tabby

•Princess Leia: the world's sweetest kitten. Grey tabby

We lost everything. Our 3 kids' rooms were trashed, burned, and what wasn't is smoke damaged.

We are just asking for help replacing our essentials and donations toward a new home.

Our first goal is $6,000. $1,000 to cremate our pets, and the other $5,000 will be to demolish our current burned down mobile home.

The ultimate goal of $50,000 is to help us put down a deposit on a new manufactured home in the same place our others was.

We REALLY REALLY loved our location. Its a beautiful mobile home park, gated and clean. And our neighbors are amazing. Being in a poor part of California safe areas to raise children can be hard to come by, and harder to afford.

As a donor I figured you deserved to know what you will be helping us with financially.

It's hard. I'm not sure what to say. It's tragic, and we are still figuring out what even to do at this point.

The ultimate goal if we raise any money is, we have to pay rent until our lease is done in April. We were in a mobile home, so we have to tear it down and if we are lucky put a down-payment on a new one..

On 11/14 the home is set to be demolished. Our first goal is reached.

Moving foward we have to have the money together by April to have a deposit on a new home. That is when my property lease is up, and if I am not ready by then we risk losing the property and dont have a plan B at this moment.
