Help Support A Devoted Teacher Who Is Battling Cancer

I am reaching out to share the story of a truly remarkable person, Wendy Bledsoe, a dedicated teacher with 27 years of service in our community; a loving, hard-working, and compassionate individual. For the past 19 months, Wendy has been courageously battling triple-negative breast cancer, undergoing an exhausting treatment plan that has included six months of IV chemotherapy, a double mastectomy with reconstruction, and six additional months of oral chemotherapy.

While enduring these treatments, Wendy has been facing additional challenges. Hospital fees are stacking up, as well as the unexpected need to repair teeth damaged by chemotherapy. Unfortunately, due to ongoing illness and numerous doctor appointments, the financial burden has become overwhelming.

Despite all these struggles, Wendy remains an active and devoted member of Friendly Baptist Church and a compassionate teacher who continues to pour her heart and soul into her students.

Since November, she has not received a full paycheck due to the numerous doctor’s appointments and illness related to a compromised immune system. As a single-income household, this has created significant financial strain on her. She has never wanted to ask for help, always humbly requesting prayer rather than support, but I know that she needs more right now, and we can make a difference. This fundraiser will help cover medical costs, reconstruction surgeries, dental expenses, and the loss of income.
