About The Show:
We are shooting 5 episodes! The show is a comedy workplace mockumentary, sort of like The Office or Abbott Elementary, except this series takes place in a family run restaurant!

The Concept:
When Emily Anderson is laid off just in time for the holidays, she returns home to work at her high school job as a server at her family’s restaurant; only to find that her father is terminally ill and her brothers have transformed the restaurant into something unrecognizable.

Why we are making this show:
People go to pubs to have a bite to eat and a beer. Whether that's because you’re hanging with your friends or grieving, it’s still the same location. Maybe you’re doing both of those things at the same time. Maybe you have to serve those two parties. But these are two wildly different things to be going on in the same location at the same time, and that’s exactly what happens in bars all the time. You can’t split up joy and grief, they’re all tied together.

About The Creator:
Hannah Aman is a writer, producer, and director. She writes dramas that make you laugh and comedies that make you cry, and produces unconventional projects with super cool people. Most notable are her own directed projects. Her short film La Primavera was nominated for Best Writing at the 2024 DePaul Premiere Film Festival. As a filmmaker, she wants everyone to feel welcome and supported on set.

Why you should support us:
Student productions are where future filmmakers master their craft. From start to finish, everything is done by the students. Months of hard work have already gone into bringing this project to life, as well as our blood, swear, and tears. But we are just getting started. We are so excited to continue creating this story, but we are unable to see this project through without support from our community to help fund our vision.
