Hello Everyone!

My name is Emma, and I am a theater major at Saint Bonaventure University in NY. I am a student actor and looking to further my education after I graduate undergrad, to become a director in the arts!

I am on scholarship and loans to help pay for my schooling, which has helped me become a first-generation college student.

Coming up in March, our technical theater director Janell is encouraging students to attend the USITT Theater Conference in Long Beach, CA. This is a technical based conference. USITT is a program that I would attend through my theater program at my school. This conference would be an amazing opportunity to attend because there are internships, amazing job opportunities and great learning experiences. This conference would further my knowledge in theater technology, to be very successful in the future.

Traveling across the country is a costly trip, and my family and I cannot meet all of the funds for the travel.

I’m raising money to attend this theater conference that will give me the opportunity to learn from industry professionals, improve my skills, and connect with others who share my passion for theater.

These funds will go towards :

Theater isn’t just something I enjoy, it’s a huge part of my future. I’ve grown not only as an actor, but as a person within my theater department at Bonaventure. It has shaped my confidence, creativity, and sense of purpose, and I’m committed to continuing this journey. This conference would be a great opportunity to grow further , connect with people in similar fields, and get a jumpstart to my career.
