Our family is choosing to remain anonymous to protect the privacy, safety, and identity of our minor child during an incredibly difficult and sensitive time.

Recently, our child came forward and disclosed that he had experienced sexual abuse involving an adult he knew and trusted within our community. As a family, hearing this has been devastating. We are now focused on one thing above everything else: making sure our child has the support, protection, and resources he needs to begin healing.

We have created this GoFundMe to help with the unexpected expenses that may come with this journey. Funds raised will go toward counseling and trauma-focused therapy, mental and emotional health services, transportation to appointments, supportive resources, advocacy needs, and other expenses directly related to our child’s recovery and well-being.

This situation has placed an emotional and financial weight on our entire family that we could never have anticipated. We want our child to know that speaking up was courageous and that he will not have to walk through what comes next alone.

Because he is a minor, we respectfully ask everyone to honor his privacy. We will not be sharing his name, photograph, school, or other identifying information publicly. Our priority is protecting him while giving him every opportunity to heal in a safe and supportive environment.
