Today, a sweet 3-year-old boy is undergoing surgery after a serious infection developed in his toe. What started as something small has quickly turned into an urgent medical emergency. His doctors determined that immediate surgical care was necessary to prevent the infection from spreading and to protect his long-term health.

His mother, Taylor, has been by his side every step of the way. She is currently on maternity leave caring for her new baby, but unfortunately, her leave is unpaid. She would never ask for help herself, but right now she could really use it.
