Donate to support a "Back to School Project" in Cameroon

My name is Louise van den Berg and I am the founder of Initiative for Social and Economic Development (ISED). ISED is an impact driven non profit organisation dedicated to supporting and promoting education for underprivileged children, empowering women through vocational training and supporting local farmers in remote villages. ISED is a legacy project inspired by my aspiration to foster positive change in the world. My motivation comes from a profound awareness of the challenges and hardship faced by many children and families, particularly those living in underdeveloped, remote villages. I believe in the transformative power of even the smallest act of kindness to significantly impact lives.

After more than seven years of severe crisis, which resulted in instability and the dismantling of families in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon (North-West and South-West), tranquility is gradually returning to certain areas. In light of this, we initiated a "Back to School Program" to facilitate access to education for children and families who have been affected in one way or the other by the crisis.

I am fundraising to cover school fees and provide educational materials, helping children catch up on lost years of schooling.

Our fundraiser initiative for the 2023-2024 academic year enabled us to support 150 economically disadvantages primary school children aged 5 to 8. In addition to the scholarships, we also distributed didactic materials to ensure a smooth and successful educational journey.

For the Academic year 2024-2025, we aim to expand our support and reach 300 beneficiaries, surpassing our previous efforts.
