Help Support Jayden’s Recovery After Horrible Car Accident

Saturday should’ve been a day to remember, but quickly turned into a nightmare. Our 18 year nephew Wyatt, and his 11-year-old brother Jayden were involved in a serious car accident leaving Wyatt’s high school graduation party.

Wyatt, who was driving, suffered facial injuries that required stitches and sustained fractures in his lower back. He was released early Sunday morning but missed his high school graduation.

His younger brother Jayden was critically injured and remains in very serious condition. He is currently on a ventilator and heavily sedated.

Jayden underwent emergency surgery to remove part of his intestine and repair his bowels. He also suffered extensive facial trauma and was airlifted to Barnes Children’s hospital in St. Louis on the morning of May 19 for reconstructive surgery to repair multiple facial fractures. He lost several teeth and faces a long and painful road to recovery.

Jayden’s mom is currently in St. Louis at his side and is unable to work for an undetermined amount of time. His parents are doing everything they can to stay strong for Jayden and their other children. We’re also working to find temporary lodging—hopefully through Ronald McDonald House—but in the meantime, the financial burden is overwhelming.

Between time off work, travel, lodging, meals, and ongoing medical care, the expenses are piling up quickly. We are creating this GoFundMe to ease some of that burden so they can focus on what matters most—being there for Jayden and supporting his recovery.

They also have two other children who were not in the car and are currently staying with family.
