Please Help Support African Business Students' Education.
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read our Go-Fund-Me!
For the past 10 years, Ivey Business School students have traveled to various countries in Africa to teach the Ivey case method to African business students and learn about the Africa Business context from their experiences. The program is called the Ubuntu Management Education Initiative.www.ivey.ca/ubuntu
Both Ivey and African business students collaborate so that they both learn from each other, develop leadership skills through case-based discussions and build a social network of talented future business leaders. Our collective goals are to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goal for Quality Education by building capacity and quality of business education about and for African countries.
This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be delivering the FIRST ever online version of our partnership course… but we need your help!
We are asking for donations to help provide the African student's data plans so that they can attend the live virtual classes through Zoom using their own smartphones. We want to ensure that participating African students can join virtual sessions without worrying about the telecomm costs.
Any donation, no matter how small, will help us get closer to our goal of $3,000 and help us create this educational collaboration for about 300 African students in Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania. Your support will go directly to purchasing $10 data plans for participants for the 6 sessions we conduct.
