Help Support 5 year-old Gael & Family After ICE Detention

Donation protected
Please help us support 5 year-old Gael and his family, asylum-seekers who are current clients of the Columbia Law School Immigrants’ Rights Clinic.

Gael, who is non-verbal and faces significant developmental delays, struggled immensely while at Dilley. Without the consistency of the diet his parents had carefully provided for him at home, Gael had difficulty eating and did not have a bowel moment for over a week, causing significant discomfort and pain. Both Gael and his parents also faced deteriorating mental health over the course of their time in Dilley as Gael's physical health worsened.

As the family now begins to recover from detention, they are in need of funds to support themselves and cover Gael's growing medical costs. The family would appreciate any support you can provide--all funds will go directly to Gael and his family.
