Help Support Luis after a Devastating motorcycle accident

On November 25th at 11pm, my son Luis Acosta was involved in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident while on his way back home from college.

The driver, who was under the influence of alcohol, illegally cut into him and then fled the scene, leaving Luis laid out injured on the street. He was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson Trauma Center and stopped breathing on the way there. Miraculously, he was stabilized just in time.

His injuries consist of hemorrhaging from his lungs, all right-side ribs broken and two of the left side, broken lower back lumbar, broken clavicle and shoulder blade, damaged right carotid artery, and a broken nose. He required multiple surgeries to repair his ribs, spine, and lungs.

Luis, 6 days before the accident, had enlisted for the National Guard and was on track to ship out for basic training, but due to the accident, he is unable to ship out on his scheduled ship-out date.

We are reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers for support. The funds raised will go directly toward covering Luis's medical expenses, including surgeries, hospital bills, and rehabilitation. Additionally, the funds will help support our family while I am unable to work to focus on his recovery.
