On August 13, my beloved dog Superboy (Supey) was attacked by three dogs while I was out with him. One of the dogs, a Pit bull, broke Supey’s leg near the shoulder and caused extensive torn flesh that required sutures. Since the attack, Supey has been in constant pain and is terrified every time he hears a dog bark. He needs his dressings changed twice a week and a weekly cast change for the next 90 days. The trauma has affected both of us deeply, and I am struggling to keep up with his medical care.

I am disabled with an autoimmune disease, and Supey is my companion and emotional support. The owners of the attacking dog have avoided responsibility, leaving me to manage all of Supey’s vet bills and daily care alone. The emotional toll has been overwhelming, and I am doing everything I can to comfort Supey and help him heal. Every day is a challenge, and seeing him in pain breaks my heart.
