Help Super Natural recover from theft

Hello!

I am writing on the behalf of my lovely and fashionable friends Samantha Backer and Jill Golden of the beautiful SuperNatural Eco Boutique on Hawthorne Blvd in Portland, OR. A few weeks ago, SuperNatural was burglarized. Over $3,000 of merchandise was stolen, and the front door and glass were broken ($2,000). This was one of several break-ins at this location, and this one was the biggest, most painful to date.

Samantha shared that in the 6 years they have been on Hawthorne, they have had, on average, one break-in a year. Ugh. Even more troubling is that last year their insurance company dropped them for being "too high risk". They now have crazy high deductible insurance that doesn't cover this current break in's damages and costs.

As a result, they are paying out of pocket to recover from this latest theft.

Samantha and Jill started their own clothing line, Tinctoria, hand dyeing hemp and organic clothing with plant dyes in a friend’s basement.  They sold at festivals, craft and eco events and eventually began to sell Tinctoria at their first showroom on Alberta Street in Portland.  SuperNatural Eco Boutique was born a few years later when they began to sell not only Tinctoria but other eco friendly clothing lines as well.  SuperNatural moved to its current location on Hawthorne Blvd six years ago, where it weathered the pandemic and continues to be an adorable shop with all kinds of amazing finds from bags to jewelry and clothing.
