The people of the Philippines URGENTLY need your help! Between October & November, two super typhoons (Goni, Vamco) and severe tropical storms (Molave, Atsani and Etau) battered the islands back-to-back, causing widespread devastation and catastrophic floods that submerged entire towns and villages. Many of those affected are the poor people who had been living in crudely-built shanties or shacks located in low-lying areas; what little they owned swept away by the merciless flash floods.
My sister, Melody Yamsuan, is one of the organizers at the Calamity Response Center of CHRIST'S COMMISSION FELLOWSHIP (CCF), called “TULONG TAYO”, which means Let’s Help. She and the CCF Tulong Tayo team immediately travel to the worst-hit, hard-to-reach areas where the poor people there are suffering the most. The CCF Tulong Tayo team distributes food, water, clothing, beddings, slippers, toiletries and other relief goods to them. The poor were already struggling with the basic necessities of life, especially with COVID-19 restrictions. Now, they need our help more than ever and therefore, I’m reaching out to everyone to PLEASE HELP!
The donations you send will go directly to my sister Melody at CCF Tulong Tayo with the assistance of our other sister, Joy Sanchez, in Manila. Joy will convert the US$ to Philippine Pesos, so the goods can be purchased and immediately distributed. I will provide you here an update on how the monies were disbursed.
