Help “Super Sue” Compete at the World Transplant Games!

Join us in supporting Sue Bennett as she prepares to take on the Sprint Triathlon at the 25th World Transplant Games in Dresden, Germany, on Thursday, August 21, 2025.

Sue, lovingly known as “Super Sue,” received a life-saving liver transplant at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham in June 2015 after a long battle with primary biliary cirrhosis. Since her transplant, she has developed a heartfelt bond with her donor's mother, Sharron. Every medal Sue has earned in sporting events is a tribute to their shared journey, honouring the incredible gift of life.

Now, we want to help Sue achieve her dream of competing in the 25th Anniversary Games. Donations will go directly toward covering her entry fees, travel, and associated costs. Additionally, any used funds will be donated to the transplant physio team, who work tirelessly to support athletes and must also self-fund their efforts. Your support will make it possible for Sue to represent transplant recipients and celebrate this global event's spirit of perseverance and gratitude.

About the World Transplant Games:

Held for the first time in 1978 in Portsmouth, UK, the World Transplant Games has grown into the largest global awareness event celebrating organ donation and transplantation. In 2025, Dresden will host this prestigious event, marking the first time Germany has taken centre stage.

The Games draw over 3,000 participants from 60+ countries, featuring a week-long program of high-energy sports, social events, and cultural activities. It’s a beacon of hope, resilience, and the transformative power of organ donation.
