Overview: 10 year old Mariah and her mum are turning life’s challenges into a thriving healthy juice business; with flavours shaped by their community and stories poured into every bottle.

Our Story

This business was born from life’s challenges a way for us to turn difficult times into something positive, healthy, and full of joy, not just for ourselves, but for our community.

Sunshine Sips is run by a mother and daughter team. Mariah, my 10 year old daughter, wanted to start this journey to give herself a positive focus, and I’ve been alongside her every step of the way, supporting her in turning this idea into something real.

Over the last five weeks, we’ve been juicing fresh, natural drinks at markets, gyms, and community events, and the response has been incredible. From the start, we’ve been about connection talking to customers, asking what flavours they’d love to see, and creating something that brings people together.

Where We’re At Now

Recently, we sought guidance from our local council’s Environmental Health team, who visited us and gave valuable advice. They confirmed we can continue trading at catering level, and while we haven’t yet had our official inspection, based on what they saw and the information we provided, they believe we could expect around a 4 star hygiene rating.

Our goal is to work towards a 5-star rating and meet the highest standards possible. To do this, we need:

• A commercial grade juicer to produce our juices more efficiently and to the highest safety standards.

• A portable sink for our home workspace to ensure we have two separate sinks for preparation, in line with Environmental Health recommendations.

• Level 2 and Level 3 HACCP training so we can progress from catering level to manufacturing level production in the future.

These upgrades will help us meet strict hygiene and safety standards, and ensure that Sunshine Sips continues to serve our community with quality at the heart of everything we do.

It’s not easy for us to ask, but I’ve always been told that if you don’t ask, you’ll never know. We want to keep building Sunshine Sips into something bigger, better, and sustainable and we’d love for you to be part of that journey.
