Hi! My name is Sunshine. I am just 9 weeks old and was born with ureters (the thin tubes that connect kidneys to the bladder and transport urine) that were attached in the wrong place so I leak pee all the time and have scalded skin from the all the leaking. Unfortunately this isn't something I will outgrow and I can't be potty trained out of it.

The person that bred me didn't notice I was leaking urine all the time and the person that bought me was unable to take on this level of an issue. I got lucky and one of the veterinarians that met me decided to take me on herself instead of allowing me to suffer or be put down. That's how I came to live with the Henningers. Morgan took me home to live with her family and get me fixed up! Right now I have to wear diapers but hopefully that will get better soon. In less than 2 weeks I have a very unique procedure with a laser and a scope scheduled at Michigan State with a Specialist Veterinarian. The total costs for testing and surgery are anticipated to be right around $4,000.

The Henninger's are taking great care of me but need a little bit of help with this expense right out of the gate! They are a kind family with big hearts - a few times a year they will foster and fix up dogs and cats that need extra help but my issue is a pretty big deal with a pretty big price tag.
