Help Sunshine - 3 week old kitten dumped in extreme heat!

Sunshine was found dumped with his brother Rainbow on Tuesday. Both kittens were in a horrendous condition, malnourished, critically underweight and with eyes so full of infection they were unable to see and battling signs of heat exposure.

3 weeks old. Left like this. To die.

We rushed them to the vets as fast as we could but Rainbow sadly didn’t make it. Sunshine was still trying to interact with him which was just devastating to watch.

Sunshine spent the next 48 hours in emergency veterinary care and his fighting spirit has shone through. Proper care, careful feeding and his want to live have saved him.

But sadly not his eye which is so scarred and infected it will need to be removed. We hope to be able to save the other eye.

We are desperately asking for support towards Sunshine’s urgent care bill and his eye removal once he is more stable.

Our animal centre is full to bursting and funds squeezed but there was no way we could not try and save Sunshine, such a defenceless kitten, born into a heatwave and hardship.

If you can give a little, it’ll go a long way to changing Sunshine’s future.

Thank you.
