My name is Seynoldi, but most people know me as Sunny. I’m a nursing student living in Springfield Massachusetts, United States. I am originally from Jamaica but I migrated here 8 years ago for a better opportunity. I am working hard towards my dream of becoming a registered nurse so I can continue caring for others the way I’ve always cared for my own family.

Sadly, my family in St.James, Jamaica lost almost everything after Hurricane Melissa tore through their community in Sunderland, St. James. The storm completely destroyed their home, leaving them displaced and without a safe place to live. What was once a space filled with love, laughter, and memories is now gone.

As I continue my studies, it’s been heartbreaking to know they’re struggling from miles away. I’ve been doing everything I can to support them, but balancing school, expenses, and helping rebuild has become overwhelming.

I created this fundraiser to help my family rebuild a small, safe, and structured home where they can live with stability and dignity again.

We are collecting and shipping food donations to help them get through this difficult time. If you would like to donate non-perishable food items, we would deeply appreciate it.

Your generous donations will go toward food, clothing, and essential materials to rebuild and create a safe new home for our family. We’ll be sharing photos and receipts along the way to keep everyone updated and transparent.
