Sept 11 update: Sunny came out of surgery and back home confined and ready for recovery. The vet mentioned the surgery went well. We're keeping her confined to ensure a good recovery.

Current state she's groggy from pain medication. We're on the mends.

Hi friends, Sunny is the sweetest orange Tabby cat with extra toes, also known as a polydactyl, who joined my little family in late 2021. Her unique paws and loving personality make her truly special. Some have described her as a cat-dog. Sunny is curious, gregarious, and always eager to greet me every morning by making biscuits on my chest.

She loves attention and welcomes anyone who visits with her gentle, affectionate nature. Her playful spirit and love for people have made her a cherished part of my life and a favorite among friends and family.

On 09/09/25 Sunny suffered a terrible accident when she fell from a three-story balcony, breaking both of her forelimbs. (X-ray photo shows both limbs fractured).

The experience shook me to my core, and she’s now in the hospital undergoing surgery.

The veterinary team has told me that her recovery will require at least two months of confinement while her bones heal, and she’ll need ongoing care and support during this time.

I am doing everything I can to help Sunny through this difficult journey. The costs for her surgery and overnight stay at the emergency vet hospital are significant currently at $12000 estimate from the vet clinic, and I am facing additional expenses for her post-surgery care and rehabilitation.
