Marcus & Shan Turner are raising funds for their 2-year-old daughter, Saunrae(Sun-Ray) due to her birth injury.

We are facing a unique challenge, and I am reaching out to our community for help. She was diagnosed with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) and as a result cortical visual impairment (CVI) and cerebral palsy (CP). These complex neurological conditions have turned every milestone into a mountain — every step forward a testament to courage we never knew we had. Sunni has been through more hospital visits than any child should, and we are searching for a way to give her the best chance at a happy, healthy life.

We have the opportunity to participate in a clinical trial in Monterrey, Mexico, that could be life-changing for Sunni. The funds raised will go directly toward covering the procedure, lodging, airfare, and all the necessary expenses to make this journey possible. This clinical trial is designed to help create new brain pathways for Sunni, promoting her development and giving her the chance to reach important milestones. Our hope is that this treatment will allow her to experience the joys of being a 2-year-old—playing, exploring, and growing—rather than spending her days in hospitals.
