The Summit High School Advanced Orchestra, under my direction, has been given the incredible honor of performing at Carnegie Hall as part of the National Band and Orchestra Festival. This is a dream come true for our students—a chance to play on one of the world’s most prestigious stages and represent our school and community at a national level.
As a Title 1 school, many of my students come from families who simply cannot afford the costs associated with such an opportunity. While they work hard and show remarkable dedication to their craft, the expenses for air travel, housing, instrument rental, and meals can be overwhelming. I want every student to be able to participate, regardless of their financial background, and not miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I am asking for your support to help make this dream a reality. By contributing, you are not only helping cover the practical costs, but you are also showing these young musicians that their hard work, discipline, and belief in themselves can open doors to extraordinary opportunities. For many, this will be their first time out of state and on a plane. Your generosity will help them become a part of Carnegie Hall’s rich history, and I could not be prouder of what they have achieved. Thank you for believing in them and supporting their journey.
