I'm making this fundraiser for my best friends family. Summer Bray has been bed ridden since January unable to walk amongst other complications. She was starving herself which lead to being malnourished. For the last 2 weeks she has been in the hospital in and out of ICU. What started with a blood clot on the lung and a blood infection turned into sepsis and caused her organs to shut down. We got the most unfortunate news this morning on 09/25 that she has passed away. This was completely unexpected and unplanned as she was only 29 years old. She leaves behind 2 little precious girls for her mom to take care of now. They have no money saved for this tragedy and her mom has already had to miss so much work to take care of her at home and being in and out of the hospital for months now. I met Summer because of her family having a house fire 2.5 years ago which me and my mom immediately stepped in to help them get their life back. They immediately became our best friends and family. Summer is the reason that gave me the spark to start my nonprofit. Her oldest daughter Makenzie who is only 9 has the biggest heart to help the houseless on the streets and even on my board of directors and that was all she wanted to do on her birthday was to help people. They are needing money to be able to cremate her and have a memorial service and to provide food and necessities for her 2 children for the time being during this tragic time.
