MOTOmed bike for Summers independence and strength

Hello, this is my daughter Summer who is now 16 years old. Summer was born at 33wks and at just over a year old she was diagnosed with Cerebral palsy. Summer has had to do physio therapy and take medication all of her life to keep her moving and stop her muscles from tightening up. As she has got older she has found this more challenging and is starting to struggle to keep what little independence she has. At school her physio tried her with a MOTOmed bike which is an indoor exercise bike she can use whilst sat in her wheelchair and can either use her arms or her legs. She was doing so well with this and was even almost prepared to complete her DofE bronze award expedition with her school until we went into lockdown. Unfortunately Summer never got to go back to school because of COVID-19 so has lost a lot of vital exercise she was doing daily on the MOTOmed bike that the school had and has now started to lose a lot of strength that this kept up for her. As she is 16, she has also now come to the end of her school years and will now be moving onto a specialist unit within a collage. The collage unfortunately does not have a MOTOmed bike. Summer can’t just go and exercise at a gym or park ect as she also has other conditions/diagnoses that prevent her from doing this safely. Being registered partially sighted she needs to be in a safe environment to exercise with supervision. So we would really love to get her a MOTOmed bike of her very own to be able to keep up her strength and keep what independence she has and to importantly keep her doing her standing transfers. Like all adapted/specialised equipment this does not come cheap so we have put this out there to see if we can get her this equipment, even if it’s just £1 or even just a share we would be truly great full for any help to provide this.
